Who am i?

Talyer Roasting began as a quiet hope—to see the Philippines shine again on the specialty coffee map and to honor the farmers whose hands shape every harvest. What started as a simple love for a good cup slowly unfolded into something deeper: a calling to return value to the people who make coffee possible.

My background is in consulting and coaching, so growth has always been at the center of my life. I’ve long believed in the power of learning, of improving bit by bit. That’s why I named this roastery Talyer—the Filipino word for “workshop.” A workshop is a place where craft is shaped, where curiosity leads the way, and where nothing is ever truly finished. In many ways, it mirrors my own journey—always workshopping, in coffee and in life, discovering the path as I go.

Coffee wasn’t my first passion, but it became a language through which I could live out my purpose: to lift others up. As I dug deeper into coffee education and roasting, I found myself drawn to two moments in the journey—the sourcing of beautiful green coffee, and the quiet art of transforming it through heat, intuition, and care.

What inspires me most is the connection woven between farmer and drinker, between the labor of one and the appreciation of another. By sourcing directly from Filipino farmers, I make sure the value flows back to them, while you receive coffee roasted with intention—one thoughtful, small batch at a time.

Talyer Roasting is more than a micro-roastery. It is a workshop in motion, a place where every roast is both an act of craft and an act of love—toward better coffee, stronger communities, and the ongoing journey of becoming.
